HEAD OF THE BRISBANE is an annual rowing event that puts our River City of Brisbane on the map and is an event not to be missed!
The Toowong Rowing Club (TRC) is pleased to be hosting the 2016 Head of the Brisbane. TRC is committed to making this event Australia’s premier Big River Rowing experience. To that end the club is preparing for a day of racing and entertainment that will deliver on this ambitious undertaking.
We welcome you to this prestigious event and look forward to seeing you at the start line and to enjoying the spectacle with your friends and supporters on the banks of our beautiful river.

COURSE DETAILS
The race briefing will be the Friday night before the event. The clubhouse will be open from 5pm to 7:30pm on the 14th of October with light refreshment available. The official race briefing will be at 6:30pm.
Racing starts at 8am on the Saturday.
The 9km race will be conducted on an out and back course run in a time trial format. The intention of the event is to provide a challenging, fair and safe racing experience for crews of all ages.
The starting and finish line will be in front of the Toowong shed. The turnaround, which will be marked by anchored buoys, will be approximately 5km upstream of the start as shown in the map below.
