WHAT WAS JOHNNY DEPP THINKING?

A messy split with Johnny Depp and Amber Heard as reported in ‘New Idea’, just fifteen (15) months after Marriage.

Amber filed for divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences and is seeking spousal support.

As suggested in the article, ‘Johnny had no idea it was coming.

Johnny had no prenup in place. A bad oversight on his part.

Will Amber go for part of his 550 million estates? Who knows? More than likely.

Under Californian law, she may have a case. Only a small claim in Australia. A short relationship will alter this. It is not reported if they were living together prior to the split which in Australia could have made a difference. (Depp Thinking)

SHORT RELATIONSHIPS & DIVORCE

In Australia, a short relationship normally means that whatever you bring into the relationship you take out. If there are joint assets, it would be normally be divided in the interest each party has in such assets.

A child of the relationship would make a huge difference to this principle.

This does not apply in the Johnny Depp Divorce case.

Hopefully, ‘New Idea’ will keep us updated on the final outcome. A prenuptial agreement would have changed all of this. The parties would be bound by the terms of that agreement which would put an end to all claims.

No pre-nup Johnny. Bad move.

However, they will each keep one of the dogs, Pistol and Boo.
